We all have a city with which we have a passionate love-and-hate relationship with… for me, through these 12 years, that’d have to be Ancona. However, at the edge of the city, down several rounds flights of stairs (there’s a whole crowned eagle thing going on with these monumental stairs build during Italy’s fascist regime, but that’s another story), there lays the unspoiled beauty of Passetto. Which just happens to be my favourite place on the planet, at any time of day (sunrise suggested): fisherman caves, rocky paths, and rocks that make for grand chairs amidst the waves.
