Artist Statement
“Oh, beauty, ever ancient and ever new.”, -Saint Augustine
My art mission is simple: to capture and spread the beauty of nature. I find magnificence in the essence of organic matter: flesh, the movement of the body, flowers, the sea. I want to capture these snapshots of life and immortalize them in their personal wonder. To freeze time, to showcase the unseen, to embrace authenticity.
Though my materials are traditional (using mostly acrylic and canvas), my artwork is contemporary in essence. I rely heavily on colours, implied textures, and thick brushstrokes to depict subjects of natural beauty in a bold, playful manner.
Art has been my salvation when life seemed murky, and I would like to share its bright colors with as many people as possible. It gives me joy to see my artwork hanging on walls across the globe, but the stories of inspiration are what gives me the biggest thrill.
I hope to continue to motivate through my work. And, always, thank you for your support!
